Focus on one thing at a time

I was just processing last Sunday. And while I know many people were blessed by the message, I felt completely scattered. I know I could have been about 10 times as effective if I had focused on one thing. (instead, there were three: new members, the message, and a ton of announcements and instruction about upcoming events)

That's my insight for the week: when communicating ... focus on one thing.
It will take better planning -- scheduling the right things at the rights times so people aren't "drinking from the fire hose." But I know it will be well worth the effort.

I'm officially online

I always hated journaling.

Mostly because I always felt like I was making a desperate attempt to do something spiritual -- all while getting the eire feeling that this was only going to be read sadly by someone in the event of my premature death.

Morbid, I know.

But, alas, I have discovered the solution ... blogging.
(and just a few months shy of 2007, not too shabby)

And being very much alive, I await many blogging thoughts to be carefully articulated and shot out into the internet abyss.

I don't know who's out there, but I'm writing anyway.
(it's for me)
